The Transitive Properties of Cheese is out!
Ok, so I’m about a month and a half late with this newsletter, but who amongus has not had a busy fall, where time has seemed to evaporate like water spilled on a hot rock?
The good news is that if you want to read a CYBERPUNK CHEESE-HEIST (in space), you can now do so. (though if you’re subscribed to this newsletter, you’ve probably already read it. right? right?)
It’s a novella about what it’s like to have a body and make cheese in a post-human future. If you could squirt your consciousness into any arbitrary body you wanted, what would you do with that? What would queer community look like? And how is my protagonist gonna get her cheese cave back from the asshole who threw it into the sun?
OTHER books introduce the idea of infinitely copying yourself, but then they say ‘Oh, but nobody actually does that, because it’s rude and/or illegal’. COWARDS! In this book, the protagonist copies herself a million times, and that goes about as well as you can expect.
So if you want weird cyberpunk body politics, and delicious food writing, you can get that here:

“A non-stop rocket ride to the outermost reaches of human potential, grounded in the human need to create and the post-human need to create better, The Transitive Properties of Cheese perfectly blends the too absurd with the too plausible and definitively proves the future of cyberpunk belongs to queers, trans people, and furries! Compulsively readable and an absolute blast from start to finish!” - Bitter Karella, creator of The Midnight Society
Events!
You can find my full event schedule here, but I want to highlight one happening next week, November 3rd at 5pm ET.
I’m going to be hosting a virtual event with Firestorm Books, talking about Embodied Exegesis and trans cyberpunk with:
- Elly Bangs, who wrote Unity, the best apocalyptic hive-mind book I’ve ever read!
- Catherine Kim, who writes incredibly inventive and structurally experimental litfic!
- Petra Skelton, who writes fantastic zines, short stories, and TTRPGs!
These three fantastic authors will read from their work, and we’ll have a panel discussion and Q&A.
Please come listen to them and ask them questions!
